Arencia Retinal Booster Shot 30ml

Arencia Retinal Booster Shot 30ml is a night treatment formulated with 0.02% retinal (200ppm) in Arencia's Retin-A Complex, supported by centella asiatica, ectoin, ceramide NP and panthenol. It targets fine lines, rough texture and loss of firmness, and is formulated to be tolerable for people new to retinoids. Retinal is a different molecule from retinol, and works faster at a lower concentration.

What does the Retinal Booster Shot do?

• Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with 0.02% retinal.
• Supports firmer, more elastic-looking skin with a multi-peptide complex.
• Energises tired-looking skin with caffeine.
• Calms the irritation retinoids commonly cause, using centella asiatica and panthenol.
• Supports the moisture barrier with ceramide NP and ectoin, so it can be built up to regular use.
• Absorbs as a lightweight gel-cream without heaviness.

What's inside?

• Retinal 0.02% (200ppm) — a vitamin A derivative one conversion step closer to retinoic acid than retinol, which is why it works at a lower percentage.

Is this right for my skin?

Best for fine lines, rough texture, enlarged-looking pores and loss of firmness. The supporting ingredients make it a reasonable entry point for skin new to retinoids, but it is still a retinoid — start slowly.

Do not layer this with vitamin C, exfoliating acids or other retinoids. If you also use the Vitamin C Booster Shot, use that in the morning and this at night. Avoid entirely during pregnancy and breastfeeding — speak to your doctor.

How do I use it?

1. Use at night only, after cleansing and toner.
2. Start with two nights a week for the first two weeks.
3. Apply a small amount to dry skin and pat in.
4. Follow with moisturiser.
5. Build to every other night, then nightly, only if your skin stays comfortable.
6. Always use SPF50+ the following morning. Retinal increases sun sensitivity.

Some dryness or light flaking in the first fortnight is normal. Persistent stinging or burning is not — reduce frequency.
